We have all been in situations where something we have thought about happens in reality. More often than not, it is our negative thoughts come to pass. Whether you believe in the Law of Attraction or not, it is quite hard to argue with the idea that our thoughts have a significant impact on our realities. Rather than focusing on the intuitive power of the brain, the purpose of this article is to provide guidance on how to use your thoughts to achieve whatever success you desire. This power is real and backed by significant psychological studies.
Unleash the Power of Cognitive Dissonance
The power that I am referring to is called cognitive dissonance. You see, the brain/subconscious does not recognize the difference between thought and reality. This means that whatever the primary focus of your thoughts is, your subconscious will attempt to shape your reality after that focus. Therefore, you must be accountable for your thought processes if you want to be successful. The cognitive dissonance comes to the fore when your current reality does not fit with your thoughts, thus you are in a state of holding two ideas of a contrasting nature simultaneously. For better or worse, your brain is going to try to reach a point of homeostasis, or balance, with the outside world.
If you want to make more money and you think of making more money, you can feel what it will be like to have more money, and you have clear-cut goals on how you are going to make more money, then your brain will constantly generate creative energy to achieve this perceived reality. If it were up to our brains alone, we would all be successful, but we must keep our emotions in check as we maintain cognitive dissonance until success is attained.
Keep your emotions BEHIND your thoughts, constantly elevating them to new heights. Focusing on doubt and fear will lead you back to your original unsuccessful state of balance. Remember, cognitive dissonance is there because something is not syncing in your life. This can be uncomfortable, but embrace the uncomfortable nature of this state.
Stay Motivated
So, as you strive to improve yourself, keep your thoughts in check. Everything happens twice, first in thought and then in reality. Constantly thinking of the negative will almost assuredly produce more negativity in your life. However, keep your goals alive and think of them frequently in a positive manner. To give your goals an extra oomph, they must be FELT. The subconscious level works primarily off of feeling, which is why subconscious urges are so strong and hard to ignore. If you think positively, but feel negatively about whatever subject is your focus, your feelings will always win out. You alone can determine what the focus of your thoughts will be. Furthermore, you alone can decide what you will do with the creative energy generated from those thoughts.
